Welcome Butterbiggins Medical Centre
With patient’s needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Online Appointment Booking and Prescription Service
Do you know you can access our online system to make/cancel appointments and order repeat prescriptions? Please ask at Reception if you wish to register for this service. It could save you time, avoid you having to telephone the surgery for appointments/prescriptions and be more convenient for you to use. We would recommend that you register for this service.
We will be sending text appointment reminders to patients. If you have supplied your mobile telephone number, we will assume you agree to receiving texts from us. If, this is not the case, please inform a member of Reception. Please ensure we have your up to date mobile telephone number.
Get Well, Keep Well
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
Please make an appointment to have ‘flu vacc if you are eligible, ie, if you are over 65 years of age or under 65 and in an “at risk group” (please check with Reception staff if you are unsure if you are eligible).
Please ask for a Travel Form, should you wish to obtain travel vaccinations. We require 4 weeks' notice for travel vaccination provision and charges apply for this service.
The practice will be closed on Mon 26 & Tue 27 December 2016 and Mon 2 and Tue 3 January 2017 for the public holidays. Should you need urgent medical attention during closures, please phone NHS 24 on tel. 111. Please ensure you have enough medication for the holidays and submit prescription requests as early as possible.
Please help us to help you!
We have noticed a marked increase in patients failing to attend appointments or attending late for appointments. This is a waste of practice resources. An appointment you no longer need could be used by another patient who does need to be seen. If you no longer wish to keep an appointment, please cancel with as much notice as possible. We would appreciate your co-operation with this.
