Telephone Consultations

  • To request a telephone consultation with the GP patients should call the practice before 10:30am in order for the practice to plan for the day.
  • If you are calling to book a follow up or repeat telephone consultation for an existing problem please ensure you request a pre-booked telephone appointment with the GP who is overseeing your problem.

Access the Right Service

Signposting is undertaken by our specially trained Reception Team. When you call the surgery, you will be asked to give brief details of what your call is regarding. This means that instead of automatically being given an appointment with a GP, you will be advised if there is a suitable alternative that may be a better option for you. This will be based on what may be most convenient for you and the particular area of expertise of the health professional involved. If our reception team navigate you to a GP you will be booked for a telephone triage consultation in the first instance.

Our Patient Services Team will not make clinical decisions and have had specific training by our GP partners and Practice Manager to help patients get to the most appropriate service. They are also bound by the same patient confidentiality principles as our clinical staff.

We have a magnificent multidisciplinary front line team attached to the practice and it is vital our frontline staff help you access the best service you require and achieve the best possible outcome for your problem.
