Repeat Prescriptions

We have been inundated with calls on our repeat prescription phone line/answering machine and some calls have been lost because this has become full.  You may wish to request repeat prescriptions online instead - you can do so by emailing

gg-uhb.butterbiggins@nhs.net.

Please note: it takes 48 hours for repeat prescriptions to be processed.  Please do not phone to check if your prescription is ready, if there are any problems when you come to collect, we will endeavour to resolve these.  We will only phone prescriptions to chemists if urgent or if there is patient/medical necessity to do so.  If you cannot come to collect, please supply a stamped, addressed envelope and we will post your prescription to you.  Thank you.

Telephone Triage/Housecalls

We operate a GP telephone triage system to help us to deal with urgent medical requests and housecalls between 8.30 - 11.30 and 14.00 - 16.30  Monday to Friday.  If you require urgent medical attention or a home visit, please call as early in the morning as possible.  PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE A WALK IN SERVICE.

Please help us to help you!

We have noticed a marked increase in patients failing to attend appointments or attending late for appointments. This is a waste of practice resources.  An appointment you no longer need could be used by another patient who does need to be seen.  If you no longer wish to keep an appointment, please cancel with as much notice as possible.  We would appreciate your co-operation with this.

Immunisations

We can issue a report of immunisations we have on record for you if required (there is a small admin fee for this service). However, you can also contact the NHS Child Immunisation Department on 0141 277 7616 for information regarding immunisations you may have had as a child.
